I’d like to point out that it’s only a horror story until you realize that it says ‘last man’ and then it can be a few different genres… Sci-fi for example there’s Planet of the Apes and other like series where animals have reclaimed the Earth, I think I also remember one where men died off due to a sickness that targeted the Y-chromosome, in which case the last man on Earth is about to be visited by the rest of the population.

Just finished the novel and now feel like one of the best movies I saw growing up has failed to live up to the novel. A part of me weeps for nostalgia, but most wants to read the novel again.
